The power of Tree Roots

These large concrete steps are constructed to assist tourists to walk at Sebangoi Forest Reserve near Sarikei. But the steps in many places are distorted by the roots of the nearby trees. These roots move underground in search for water and nutrients. In the process, they change the landscape, uplift or cover the ground and dry the soil.
If you visit the Cambodia's lost city El Dorado, you will understand the power of Tree roots!
