Sometimes while you walk on the stone road, you may find a crushed stone like this, the surface covered with white or crystal-like structures. They are not diamonds but quartz.
Quartz is the second most abundant mineral in the Earth's Continental crust. It was formed from the intrusion of volcanic vent, with right liquid and gas, temperature and pressure to form SIO4, silicon-oxygen tetrahedra.
If you peel away the quartz, this crushed rock is quartzite, a metamorphosed rock.
